What does a horse cost per month in the UAE?
Keeping a horse in the UAE costs roughly AED 1,800 to AED 10,000 a month, and where the horse lives decides most of it. Basic livery in Sharjah or Al Dhaid with feed, farrier and routine vet comes to about AED 2,800–3,500 a month; all-in, a horse on full livery at a Dubai or Abu Dhabi yard runs about AED 5,000–6,500 a month (the livery itself is about AED 3,500), and a competition horse on training board with lessons can pass AED 10,000. The purchase price is the cheap part — budget the keep before you shortlist.
