Buyer Protection
Money moves when milestones are met. Not before.
The dominant scam in this market is simple: pay first, discover later. Buyer Protection replaces bank transfers to strangers with a regulated escrow flow built around the vet check and a microchip-verified handover.

- 1
Reserve
Your deposit locks the horse and takes the listing off the market. Funds sit with the regulated escrow partner — never with Faras, never with the seller.
- 2
Vet window
5–10 days for your independent PPE. Exam fails on a material issue? The deposit returns in full.
- 3
Handover
Delivery ends with a microchip scan matched against the papers — the identity check that makes photo scams impossible.
- 4
Acceptance
A 48-hour to 7-day acceptance clock (as agreed) starts at handover. The digital bill of sale is already e-signed.
- 5
Release
Funds release to the seller. Both sides review each other double-blind; the horse's permanent record updates.
Covered
- Horse not delivered
- Microchip / identity mismatch
- Forged or missing papers promised in the listing
- Material condition undisclosed and found at PPE
Not covered
- Change of heart after acceptance
- Performance expectations ("doesn't jump like I hoped")
- Issues your PPE waived or you declined to examine
- Anything paid outside the escrow flow
The one rule that matters
Faras will never send you a payment link, and neither should a seller. If anyone shares an “escrow” link over WhatsApp, it’s a fake — the real flow only ever starts from the Buy with Buyer Protection button on a listing. Report the account and we’ll act within 24 hours.
